Asking For a Friend….

As we watch the S&O Bigfoots travel the world, I wonder if he needs a change.

We often see the classic Bigfoot stance… that long stride, side view, arms seemingly swinging. And now we see more and more his gestures, 🤘🤟…. My little dudes signature gesture is the peace sign ✌️ makes sense to me, right? It should make sense to the world. Someone needs to spread more love and peace!! And really, Bigfoot, seems like the man for the job.

But maybe he needs to change… or maybe we need two/to.

This morning as my son and I were sitting at the table before school working on his spelling test, he was deep in thought looking out the big picture window…. As I waited for him to write his word, I stood up and walked behind him (I don’t know where I was going) but as I began the walk around, I was looking directly at him, blue eyes staring out that window when suddenly he says “is that Bigfoot?”

I looked in the direction of his stare and saw a tall brown figure walk behind my neighbors lean to. It was a glimpse. But it was so peculiar that we both went outside to further investigate. It’s the Midwest guys, we go outside to check out everything. Regardless of the impeading dangers. Calm down. lol

There was no sign of course. And I knew its was just my neighbor but it was such a fleeting odd glimpse of a a large brown figure and that unusual sudden question from Joe with those eyes wide staring, that this little part of me remained curious. More wishful than curious but still.

Joe…. He’s lived his whole life so far as a child with his thumbs up. I’d guess 70% of all his pics are of him with his thumbs up and a big grin. Joe has always been like a Bigfoot to me. He’s wild. Peculiar. Curious. Loves the woods. Loves to disappear. Makes funny sounds. And has some big feet. He once got a guille suit for Christmas and played in it for weeks. We called him the Illinois Grass Kid. He’s just full of life and wonder and it’s just how I imagine Bigfoot.

And that kid always has his thumbs up.

Does Bigfoot need it too??? 👍 Should I redesign him and throw two different Bigfoot’s out for traveling?
